Shipping, returns and exchanges
Shipping
All orders are shipped via fully tracked and insured delivery.
Each piece is carefully prepared and presented in a complimentary jewellery box to ensure it arrives safely and in perfect condition. While every care is taken when dispatching your order, Alec Doherty Jewellery Ltd is not responsible for items that are lost, stolen or damaged once in transit.
Dispatch Times
Items marked “Ready to Ship” or currently in stock are dispatched the same day or the next working day.
All made to order pieces are individually handcrafted to order and typically require 3–6 weeks for production. You will be notified once your piece is ready for dispatch.
Duties & Taxes
United Kingdom
Alec Doherty Jewellery Ltd is a UK-based business. For orders delivered within the United Kingdom, VAT (where applicable) is included in the price shown at checkout. As items are not being exported, no additional duties or taxes will be payable upon delivery.
International Orders
Alec Doherty Jewellery Ltd ships to a number of international destinations on a Delivered Duties Paid (DDP) basis where applicable. This means that any relevant duties and taxes are included at checkout, and the amount paid at the time of purchase is the final price.
Duties and taxes vary by country. If you would like further information regarding import regulations in your country, we recommend contacting your local customs office.
Where DDP applies, you will not be required to pay any additional duties or taxes to release your order upon delivery.

Returns & Exchanges
All pieces are individually made to order.
As each piece is individually made to order, we are unable to offer refunds. However, exchanges or store credit are available within 14 days of delivery, provided the item is returned in its original condition.
If you would like to exchange your item for a different piece or size, or request store credit, please contact us at hello@alecdoherty.com within 14 days of receiving your order. We will provide instructions on how to proceed.
Returned pieces must be in their original condition, unworn, with a valid purchase receipt and in the original packaging. To ensure your jewellery arrives safely, we kindly ask that items are carefully packaged for transit using protective outer packaging. Items not suitably packaged for safe return may be sent back to the sender.
This policy applies to non-faulty items and does not affect your statutory rights.
